Supervisions
Registered Managers and Responsible Individuals need to evidence their supervision. Supervision is a key component in ensuring practice of managers remains consistent with the Statement of Purpose of the home, as well as a forum to discuss and reflect on current practice and where improvements and developments are needed. External supervision can provide a number of benefits for senior managers. It brings an expert independent view and coaching role in a safe environment.
Consultancy Supervision can be provided either monthly, quarterly on an individual basis or as a facilitator of group supervision for senior management teams.
Reflective Practice
Reflective Practice sessions are incredibly useful for teams - less of a focus around case management and more focus around practice issues, individually child focussed to help develop care management plans. Some providers bring in a facilitator for a Reflective Practice session monthly to help teams provide a consistent approach to young people and / or to reflect on any particular difficulties or safeguarding concerns.
